On a very hot day in Florida, Royal Neighbors Chapter 20266 of Madeira Beach teamed up with Tampa Bay Women in Tourism, Revenue Generating Activities Network (RGA), and Keep Pinellas Beautiful to pick up the Gandy Beach area of St. Petersburg. Together, they removed an impressive 520 pounds of garbage from the shoreline!
Their efforts showcase the power of collaboration across community organizations:
- Tampa Bay Women in Tourism is a not-for-profit networking organization for professional women in the tourism industry that focuses on building connections and uplifting leaders within their local tourism community.
- RGA empowers small businesses and professionals through events, tools, and education. Their philanthropic arm, RGA Cares, is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of their members and the communities they serve.
- Keep Pinellas Beautiful, a volunteer-based nonprofit and an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, has been transforming public spaces since 1992. Through education, engagement, and empowerment, their mission is to conserve and beautify our natural environment.
The results of the beach cleanup prove that when a community comes together, they can make a lasting impact. This is just one example of how community partnerships can protect natural spaces. The astounding work they did that day leaves behind a cleaner, safer, and even more beautiful space for every beachgoer to enjoy. What an amazing accomplishment!
