We can help YOU boost the impact of your fundraiser

Member Dawn Dingeldein preparing for a fish fry fundraiser

Member Dawn Dingeldein and 17 friends hosted a fish fry fundraiser at Ascension Lutheran Church in Shiocton, Wisconsin. The meal included fish, potato, coleslaw, rye bread, and dessert. More than 200 hungry and generous community members attended the meal.

“This member program is so easy to use,” Dawn said. “Royal Neighbors supported our desire to impact our community through volunteerism – and they gave us funds to do it!”

Prior to the event, Dawn applied for the Difference Maker Fund to boost the impact of their fundraiser and cut down on expenses. The application process took less than five minutes, and Dawn received a $200 check in the mail a few weeks after applying.

“I purchased food, paper products, serving tools, and to-go containers with the grant,” Dawn said. “This lowered our expenses so we could raise more money”.

After the event, a requirement of the program is to share the results of the project. Dawn shared details about the fundraiser with Royal Neighbors in a short report. She also shared photos of the event (like the one above), so we could share her impact with you!

The event raised more than $2,500. All proceeds from the event were donated to Ascension Lutheran Church to support 14 youth members who will attend a religious development event.

As a Royal Neighbors Member, you can apply for a Difference Maker Fund grant once a year to help offset the costs of your fundraiser or volunteer project. The project and cause are up to you and can be different every year! If approved, you will receive $200 to make a positive impact in your community.
